why sponsor us

In 1995, Woodside High School’s Robotics Team 100 became the first California team to participate in the FIRST® Robotics Competition. Each year, FRC brings together 5,000 worldwide teams to design and build robots to compete against other teams. Team 100 has grown in size and proficiency over the years, winning many awards, but our motto – “student run, student built” – has always remained the same.  We use our knowledge and creativity to collaborate and solve the robotics challenges presented to us.

As a Title 1 public school, we emphasize active outreach to students of all backgrounds and encourage engagement and teamwork in their pursuit of a STEM education.  Any interested student can join Team 100 and learn to build a robot as well as the skills necessary to run a small business.

Woodside High School Robotics is a remarkable program, but also an expensive one. This year, we need to raise over $63,000 to cover the cost of registration fees, materials, tools, equipment, and travel to competitions.  All funds are raised through grants, corporate sponsorships and private donations as we do not collect dues from our team members.  By supporting the WHS Robotics Boosters program, you are helping to create the next generation of innovators, engineers, and problem solvers who will continue to shape the world.
